News Release

Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd. held a ceremony in the company gymnasium at 10:00 on Friday, January 6, 2012 to mark the first business day of the year, where Mr. Fujimori, President, delivered his new year's address to the employees as follows.

Last year, we were faced with many challenges including the earthquake and tsunami that hit eastern Japan. I would like to say thank you for your perseverance in the face of the adversity and the understanding and cooperation of your families.

We are surfing the waves of globalization. If we don't make it through this point, we might not only fail to achieve further growth but may also end up losing our foothold. We should all recognize that it is a make-or-break time for the company. Let us have a clear idea of what the business climate will look like in 10 to 20 years. We should then set higher targets to achieve.

To unite all of us, we are in the process of developing our vision for the year 2020."

In the vision, we declare that we aim to become an irreplaceable global business partner for all of our stakeholders, this including customers, suppliers from around the world, hosting communities and shareholders.

This year marks the start of efforts to make our vision come true. I would like you to boldly and promptly respond to globalization and always be prepared for the worst-case scenario. I would like each and every one of you to take a proactive approach to making our vision come true.

The fields you are in are expanding all over the world. The path we are about to take is a long one. I ask all of you of the Aisin Group to work together to move the company forward.
